Cloud POS
Dine-in, takeaway, and delivery — all from one screen.
WhatsMenu's POS writes to the same orders dashboard as your online storefront. Walk-in customers, scheduled deliveries, and online pre-orders show up alongside each other — no syncing, no double entry, no separate menu, no second product list.
Four initial views — pick the one your staff opens to.
Set a default landing view per merchant — Order List, Dine-in, Takeaway, or Delivery. Staff can switch between modes any time. The same POS handles all three service types in one cart.
Dine-in
Tables grouped by area. Open an order on a table, add items as the customer orders, mark complete when they pay. Move an active order between tables with one tap when guests change seats.
Takeaway
Counter-style ordering — no table needed. Optional pickup-area selection if you operate from multiple locations, plus time-slot, tip, and coupon-code fields. Receipt prints with one tap; pair with PrintNode for auto-print on every closed sale.
Delivery
Pick the delivery area at the till — the delivery cost is added automatically from your storefront's rate table. After the order is created, dispatch it to Lalamove or Detrack from the order details page (or fulfil yourself). Same payment options as your online checkout — cash, card, QR pay, or any of 20+ gateways.
What makes WhatsMenu's POS different.
One orders pipeline.
POS, online storefront, WhatsApp ordering, and QR-code dine-in all write to the same orders table. Toggle Show completed orders on the POS to merge today's online orders into the same till list — one feed, no swivel-chair between two systems.
Tables + areas + floor plan.
Group tables by area ("Patio", "Indoor", "Bar"). Enable the optional Floor Plan app to swap the card-style table picker for a drag-and-drop interactive layout — table positions match the room, status colour-coded at a glance.
Browser-based. Hardware-agnostic.
Runs in any modern browser — iPad, Android tablet, laptop, or a Sunmi terminal's built-in browser. Nothing to install. Staff log in with their staff account; managers and owners see additional menus.
Receipts on your own template.
Design the receipt layout in Order Print — pick paper size (58mm, 80mm, A4, custom), drop in your logo, items, totals, tax fields, footer terms. Print one-tap from any browser to whatever printer is connected. For auto-print on every closed sale, add the PrintNode integration.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need separate POS hardware?
No. WhatsMenu POS runs in any modern browser — iPad, Android tablet, laptop, or a Sunmi terminal's built-in browser. A receipt printer is recommended but optional, and any printer your device can already see (thermal 58mm/80mm, A4, label) works since prints go through the browser print dialog. Barcode scanners and cash drawers aren't supported in v1.
Can dine-in, takeaway, and delivery run side by side?
Yes. The same POS instance handles all three service types — pick whichever each new order is. Set a default initial view (Order List, Dine-in, Takeaway, or Delivery) per merchant in Settings; staff switch between them any time.
Does the POS share menu and orders with the online storefront?
Yes — same database, same items, same prices, same stock, same daily limits. Edit a product once and it updates everywhere: storefront, QR ordering, WhatsApp ordering, POS. To see online orders alongside POS orders in the same till list, turn on Show completed orders in the POS settings.
Can I use a floor plan instead of the table card view?
Yes — install the optional Floor Plan app from Settings > Apps. It replaces the card-style table list with a draggable interactive plan and shows table status (free / occupied / payment pending) colour-coded.
Can staff process payments directly from the POS?
Yes. Cash, card, online gateway link, or QR payment — all the payment methods configured for your storefront are available at the POS. Toggle Order completed once paid in settings to skip the manual completion step for fast-service venues.
