Online catalog and course bookings for tutors.
A tutoring business sells time, expertise, and outcomes. WhatsMenu gives you a structured course catalog with package pricing, tutor profiles, WhatsApp enquiries, and online checkout — built for tutors, training centres, and educational service providers who don't want to build a custom platform.
Where tutoring businesses get stuck online
Five frictions specific to running a tutoring or education service.
Course pricing scales by package, not per-session
A 10-session package is RM 1,500. A 20-session package is RM 2,800 (better value). Without a structured catalog, every prospect asks "what's the price?" and you reply with a package list.
Tutor expertise that's the actual product
Parents want to know the tutor's background — degree, teaching years, results, languages. Without profile pages, this lives in a PDF you email or paste in chat.
Course materials and curriculum scope
A "PMR Maths Mastery" course covers algebra, geometry, statistics. A "Beginner English" course covers grammar, vocabulary, conversation. Without a clear page per course, every enquiry asks "what does this cover?"
Vouchers and gift cards for parents/grandparents
Parents want to gift tuition. Grandparents want to fund a few sessions for their grandchild. Without structured voucher products, you handle every gift sale via custom invoice.
Cancellations, missed sessions, make-up classes
Student misses Tuesday's session. Owes a make-up. Without a structured policy on the catalog, every miss becomes a chat negotiation.
How WhatsMenu fits a tutoring business
Five features matched to education service operations.
Custom pages structure each course with curriculum and outcomes
Per course: title, description, who it's for (PMR / SPM / college prep), what it covers (curriculum), what students achieve. Visible upfront; prospects self-qualify.
Learn more →Digital vCard for each tutor
Per tutor: photo, qualifications, teaching experience, subject expertise, sample student outcomes. Builds the trust that closes high-ticket course bookings.
Learn more →Tiered packages with clear value comparison
10-session package RM 1,500. 20-session package RM 2,800. 30-session RM 3,800. List each package as its own product priced as a unit — parents see all three side-by-side and pick the tier that fits. (For mix-and-match selections like "any 5 from Specialist subjects at RM 800", use the Bundles rule on a category instead.)
Learn more →Share cart for personalised course recommendations
Parent enquires about their child; mock up the cart on your own storefront with recommended courses and packages, click Share, send the link via WhatsApp. Parent reviews and pays via the cart. Closes high-touch enquiries fast.
Learn more →Coupons handle introductory offers and referral discounts
First-session-free coupon for new students. Refer-a-friend 20% off. Family discount for siblings. Configurable; the cart enforces logic at checkout.

A parent browses your courses page — sees "PMR Maths Mastery" with full curriculum, sample outcomes, and tutor profiles for each available teacher. She clicks Mr Tan's profile (PhD Maths from NUS, 15 years' tutoring, 89% A1 conversion rate); books the 20-session package via share-cart. Pays online with Stripe. Twelve weeks later her son scores A in PMR Maths. She buys another 20-session package — referral coupon applied for her younger daughter. The catalog seeded the conversion; the structured course/tutor profile closed the trust gap.
- Parent browses the courses page. Custom Pages structure each course with curriculum, who-it's-for, and outcomes. Parents self-qualify before enquiring — receptionist time saved.
- They check the tutor's profile. Digital vCard surfaces qualifications (PhD Maths from NUS), teaching experience (15 years), sample outcomes (89% A1 conversion rate). Builds the trust that closes high-ticket course bookings.
- Parent picks a tier and books via share-cart. 10/20/30-session packages each listed at its own price — value comparison visible at a glance. Parent sends a share-cart for the 20-session pack; you confirm timing and tutor.
- Online payment for the package. Payment via your gateway (Stripe / FPX / regional). Full upfront for packages; pay-as-you-go optional for individual top-up sessions.
- Term progresses; outcomes follow. Twelve weeks later, son scores A in PMR Maths. Parent buys another package — referral coupon scoped for the younger daughter applies a discount automatically.
- Reviews close the trust loop for the next parent. Registered customers leave reviews on their order page once the package is closed. Reviews land in your dashboard tied to the original booking — surface them in social posts and tutor profiles. Public on-storefront review display is on the roadmap.

Frequently asked questions
Can I sell course packages with tiered pricing (10 / 20 / 30 sessions)?
Yes. List each package as its own product at its package price (e.g. "10-session package RM 1,500", "20-session RM 2,800"). Customers see all tiers side-by-side and pick the one that fits. For mix-and-match selections (e.g. "any 5 from Specialist subjects at RM 800"), use Bundles on a category instead — that's where Bundles' "min/max items at a flat price" rule shines.
Can I show tutor profiles with credentials?
Yes. Digital vCard creates a profile page per tutor with photo, qualifications, experience, sample outcomes. Link from each course page to the tutor who teaches it.
Can parents pay online for course packages?
Yes — Payment Gateways (Stripe, FPX, etc.) handle online checkout for course packages. Many tutoring centres take full payment upfront for packages and pay-as-you-go for individual sessions.
Can I sell gift vouchers for tuition?
WhatsMenu doesn't have a native gift-card system that auto-generates redeemable codes today. Practical workarounds: (a) sell a "Gift voucher RM 100/500/1000" item, charge the buyer, then manually email or WhatsApp a single-use Coupon code to the recipient that they apply at their next checkout; or (b) skip the voucher product and use referral / discount coupons directly. Native gift cards with auto-issued codes is on the wish list — let us know if it's a must-have.
Can I run referral discounts and family-package discounts?
Yes. Coupons support percentage-off codes; you can scope them to specific products or run sitewide. Referral codes can be customer-specific (one-time use) or generic (reusable).
How does pricing work for a tutoring centre using WhatsMenu?
Flat monthly subscription. No per-booking or per-payment fee. Payment-gateway fee on online charges only (e.g. Stripe ~2.9%). Cheaper than building a custom education platform.
