Way to sell

A full storefront — minus the per-order fees.

Customers browse, build a cart, pay online, you fulfil. Same flow as Shopify or WooCommerce — but no per-order or per-transaction cut. Flat monthly subscription, your payment gateway's processing fee, and the money lands directly in your bank account.

What is it

A complete e-commerce flow on your own subdomain (or custom domain). Items with photos, variants, options, modifiers, stock tracking. A cart that supports multi-quantity items, coupons, loyalty points, bundles, daily limits, and time slots. Online payment via your choice of 20+ gateways including Stripe, PayPal, FPX, DuitNow, and most Southeast Asian e-wallets — plus cash on delivery / pickup if you want it. Order management dashboard with live status, customer accounts, refunds, exports. Delivery zones with shipping rates, pickup areas with time slots, plus optional integration with Lalamove or Detrack for third-party delivery dispatch. Everything you'd expect from an e-commerce platform — without the marketplace cut on every order.

How it works

  1. Add your products with prices, photos, options, and stock levels. Set delivery zones and shipping rates, pickup areas and time slots.
  2. Connect a payment gateway (Stripe, PayPal, FPX, your local options) in Settings > Apps. Customers pay through your account directly — money lands in your bank, not ours, and we never touch the funds.
  3. In Settings > Operation Mode pick Online Ordering. Customers order, pay, and the order lands in your dashboard with a live status link. Print, fulfil, mark complete. WhatsApp / email notifications optional.

Who picks this mode

Retail merchants moving from Shopify or WooCommerce who got tired of the per-order fees stacking up. F&B operators selling delivery, takeout, or pickup. Bakeries running weekend pre-orders. Florists doing same-day delivery. Service businesses selling time slots, vouchers, or merchandise. Anyone with predictable, repeatable products where self-checkout converts better than a phone call — and where the unit economics of paying a per-order cut to a marketplace stop making sense.

Frequently asked questions

How does this compare to Shopify or WooCommerce?

Same checkout flow — different cost structure. Shopify and most marketplace-style platforms charge a per-order or per-transaction cut on top of payment-gateway fees, plus app-marketplace surcharges. WhatsMenu charges a flat monthly subscription regardless of order volume. Your payment gateway's processing fee (e.g. Stripe's 2.9% + fixed) is the only variable cost. For merchants doing meaningful order volume, the savings compound monthly.

Can I use my own domain?

Yes. Bring any domain you already own and point it at your storefront — SSL is automatic. The default storefront URL is a {subdomain}.whatsmenu.page address that works out of the box; the custom domain is a free upgrade you wire up via DNS when you're ready.

What payment gateways are supported?

20+ gateways shipping today, including Stripe, PayPal, Razorpay, HitPay, Billplz, FPX (Malaysia), DuitNow, Touch 'n Go eWallet, ToyyibPay, SenangPay, Adyen, Mollie, Cashfree, Chip, Flutterwave, Iyzico, MercadoPago, Payfast, Paystack, Pocketpay, SPayGlobal — plus cash on delivery / pickup and a static QR with proof-of-payment upload for bank-transfer-first markets. Pick whichever fits your region and currency. Multiple gateways can run side by side.

How do delivery, pickup, and shipping work?

At checkout the customer picks Delivery (with shipping zones, rates, and time slots) or Pickup (with pickup areas and time slots). For delivery, you can either fulfil yourself or trigger third-party dispatch — Lalamove (manual booking) or Detrack (auto-trigger when an order is paid). Dine-in is a separate operation mode (QR Ordering); switch to it if you also need table-based ordering.

How do refunds and cancellations work?

Refunds happen through your payment gateway directly — Stripe refunds via Stripe, PayPal via PayPal, etc. WhatsMenu never touches the funds, so the gateway is the single source of truth for the money trail. Update the order status to Cancelled or Refunded in your dashboard for reporting accuracy; the customer sees the new status on their order link.

Does WhatsMenu take a cut of every order?

No. WhatsMenu is a flat monthly subscription regardless of order volume — same cost whether you do 10 orders or 10,000 a month. Your payment-gateway processing fee is the only variable cost on each order, and that goes to the gateway, not us. This is the main structural difference vs Shopify, Foodpanda, GrabFood, or any marketplace model.
