Fulfilment
Use Lalamove or Detrack to handle delivery — without copy-paste between systems.
Connect once, dispatch from the order page. Lalamove gets you on-demand riders across Southeast Asia. Detrack gives you a delivery-management platform for your own drivers (or the Detrack marketplace). You stay focused on what you sell; WhatsMenu handles the order-to-courier handoff.
What it does
Connect Lalamove or Detrack once in Settings > Apps with your courier-account credentials. With Lalamove, every delivery order shows a Lalamove dispatch card on its details page — pick the vehicle type, get a quote, confirm, and a rider is booked. With Detrack, every delivery order auto-creates a Detrack job at the order status you choose (accepted, prepared, delivered, or manual click only). The customer gets tracking through the courier's own channels (a Lalamove tracking link in the order, or Detrack's own driver-to-customer app). When the delivery completes, Detrack's webhook can mark the WhatsMenu order as Delivered automatically.
Who it's for
Merchants who deliver but don't want to hire and manage their own riders, or who do run their own drivers but want a real dispatch and tracking platform. Florists sending fresh-cut bouquets across town. A bakery delivering custom cakes. A clinic dropping prescriptions to nearby patients. A retail shop fulfilling same-day orders within a 10 km radius. The economics work when the courier fee is small relative to the order — typical for orders above $50–80.
How it works
- Connect a courier in Settings > Apps. Lalamove needs your API key + secret from the Lalamove Partner Portal (Sandbox for testing, Production after wallet top-up). Detrack needs an API key from your Detrack dashboard.
- Configure the integration. Lalamove: market, default vehicle type (Motorcycle / Car / Van), optional special requests (LALABAG, FRAGILE, ROUND_TRIP), and optional WhatsApp customer notification. Detrack: pick when to create the job (manual / accepted / prepared / delivered), and whether new jobs open to the Detrack marketplace.
- Open a delivery order. If both Lalamove and Detrack are connected, pick the provider from the Delivery dropdown in the order header. Lalamove gives you a quote → confirm to book a rider; Detrack creates the job at your chosen trigger and surfaces the live status. If a booking fails, retry, switch provider, or fall back to self-delivery.
When to use it
Use third-party delivery when your order volume is too low to justify hiring full-time riders, but high enough that you don't want to drive every order yourself. Most merchants outgrow their own delivery hassle within the first month of online ordering. If you already run a fleet, Detrack is the platform side — it doesn't give you riders, it gives you dispatch, tracking, and proof of delivery.
Frequently asked questions
Which courier services are supported today?
Lalamove (on-demand riders in Brazil, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mexico, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam) and Detrack (a delivery-management platform for your own drivers or the Detrack marketplace, available globally). Detrack doesn't provide riders — it dispatches and tracks the ones you have. The integration list grows over time; check Settings > Apps for the live list.
Do I need a separate account with the courier?
Yes. Sign up directly with Lalamove (they bill you per booking from your Lalamove wallet) or Detrack (a SaaS subscription you pay separately, plus whatever you pay your own drivers). WhatsMenu only handles the handoff so you don't paste order details twice.
Who pays the delivery fee?
You decide. Charge the customer (most common), absorb it (free delivery as a promo), or split it. The fee shows on the customer's order summary.
What happens if no rider is available or a booking fails?
You see the failed-booking notice on the order details page and can re-quote, switch provider (if both are connected), or fall back to self-delivery. The customer doesn't see the booking failure — only the final outcome you communicate.
Can the customer track the rider in real time?
Yes. Lalamove returns a tracking link on every booking (visible to both you and the customer once a rider is assigned, and customers can be notified by WhatsApp). Detrack handles driver-to-customer communication through its own app (live tracking, ETA updates, proof-of-delivery photos); your WhatsMenu order page shows the Detrack status with a "View in Detrack" link.
