Customer experience

Verified post-order reviews — from real buyers, on your terms.

Every signed-in customer whose order is delivered or closed can leave a star rating and a written review. Build a verified reputation tied to real orders, with no drive-by ratings from people who never bought.

What it does

Reviews are collected per order. Once an order is marked delivered or closed, the signed-in customer is prompted on their order page to submit a 1-to-5 star rating and a written comment. The dashboard lists every review with the rating, comment, customer name, order reference, and date, and lets you remove entries that breach your community rules. Public storefront display of reviews on the active Spreader template is on the roadmap; once it ships, every rating already collected feeds it automatically.

Who it's for

Merchants whose reputation depends on the overall experience, not just the product itself. Cake studios, florists, clinics, beauty services, retail brands, and any merchant where fulfilment and communication matter as much as the items in the cart. Repeat-customer businesses (your regular café) build the data passively; first-impression businesses (wedding florists, custom orders) get the most leverage from it.

How it works

  1. Enable Reviews in Settings > Apps. Customer accounts must be enabled — reviews are tied to a signed-in customer's order, so guest checkouts can't be reviewed.
  2. Once an order is delivered or closed, a review prompt appears on the customer's order page. They pick a star rating, write a comment, and submit through your storefront — no third-party login.
  3. Reviews land in your dashboard with rating, comment, customer name, order reference, and date. Read trends, identify your best (and worst) experiences, and delete entries that breach your guidelines.

When to use it

Turn it on early, even before public storefront display ships. The data builds up quietly in the background — and the moment storefront display goes live, you have months of real reviews already in the system rather than starting from zero.

Frequently asked questions

Are reviews tied to specific products or to the order as a whole?

To the order as a whole. The customer rates the overall experience — what they got, how it arrived, how you communicated — with a single 1-to-5 star rating and a written comment. We don't ask per-item ratings: most customers skip them, and a single overall rating is a more honest signal of operational health.

Can only customers who actually ordered leave a review?

Yes — reviews are tied to a signed-in customer's completed order, so every reviewer is a verified buyer. Guest checkouts can't be reviewed (there's no account to link to), and people who never bought can't drop drive-by ratings.

Where do reviews appear today?

Today, reviews land in your dashboard — rating, comment, customer details, and the order behind each entry. Public storefront display on the active Spreader template is on the roadmap; when it ships, every collected review feeds it without any re-collection.

Can I edit, hide, or moderate a review?

You can delete reviews that breach your guidelines — useful for clearly abusive or off-topic comments. There's no per-review hide toggle or pre-publish approval queue today; reviews land directly in the dashboard once submitted, and a delete is a delete. Use it responsibly — heavy editing of customer feedback erodes the trust signal you're trying to build.

Can I import reviews from another platform?

Not directly. If you're moving from Shopify or Shopee, the reviews stay on the source platform. Most merchants accept this and start fresh — verified post-order reviews accumulate quickly once you turn the feature on.
